Web Site Design Site design services incorporate the actual creation of the files which make up the completed web site and does not include initial planning of the web site. Therefore, if you already have a well thought out plan for your site (or need to supplement an existing design team with an additional member), I may be contracted as a site designer/developer only. If you need a complete site
design from beginning to end, please see my There are two site design methods available: "Static" (Common Site Design Practice) - A static web site consist of web pages that do not change unless edited directly by a web designer or other maintenance provider. This is a common design for informational sites, but may not be adequate for an e-commerce enabled site (example - on-line product catalog and purchase sites). The rates listed for web site design cover this method of design as well as some interactive components as needed. Completely interactive sites with few static pages may be treated as Web Applications and billed accordingly. "Interactive"
- Interactive sites will change automatically according to user actions.
These sites are usually driven by an on-line database of business and user
information while each page of the site is created on demand according to
the actions of the user. For
static web sites I will normally use FrontPage 2000 (previous versions on
request only); however designs using Allaire HomeSite, NetObjects Fusion,
or Netscape Composer may be requested. In addition, I will design static
sites using no HTML editor (only a basic text editor like Notepad) if
requested. For Interactive
Sites a may use a combination of tools including: *
At this time I do not provide sites developed in Drumbeat or Macromedia
Dreamweaver. |
